The group was formed in August 2001 when BLWA Ltd ( Association of the Laboratory Supply Industry) amalgamated with the Laboratory Equipment Group of GAMBICA ( Association for Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) to form the GAMBICA Laboratory Technology Group, which is one of five major industry sectors within GAMBICA.
