New President for GAMBICA
GAMBICA,
the association for instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory
technology, has announced the appointment of Dr Graeme Philp, Chief Executive,
MTL Instruments Group plc, as its President for the next two years. Graeme
Philp takes over from Colin Perry.
Graeme Philp began his career with Kent Instruments and, after achieving his PhD, worked for ABB in the UK before being appointed Group Technical and Marketing Director of MTL in 1991. He was made Chief Executive in 1995.
He now heads an international business which is a leader in the field of intrinsic safety explosion protection devices, fieldbus technology and surge protection. MTL is also committed to positioning itself as a supplier of hardware components for Open Control Systems in the process control industry.
