IMEKO World Congress 2018 - Belfast - 3rd to 6th Sep 2018

03–06, September 2018

Held every three years, the IMEKO World Congress ( www.imeko2018.org ) is the most prestigious global event covering sensing and measurement technology. The challenge to host it was won by the UK against tough competition, especially from Germany.

The Congress will attract over 1,000 delegates from around the world of sensing and measurement and will open with a UK Minister delivering the keynote. It will also include two Nobel prize winners amongst its speakers.

Alongside the plenary sessions will run a sizeable exhibition featuring the best in sensing and measurement from around the world. In previous IMEKO Congresses this has attracted many of the world’s biggest measurement and sensing companies as well as innovative start-ups, all looking to benefit from the exposure offered by this world-class event.

GAMBICA and the Institute of Measurement and Control are part of the organising team of the 2018 event and, as such, are in the privileged position of being able to offer our members an early opportunity to sign up as exhibitors or for one or more of the many sponsorship opportunities outlined in the prospectus below (Everything from Delegate Bag to Gold Sponsorship).

Above is an application form with which to secure your booth and/or sponsorship by returning to the address on the form. You will not be billed until early 2018. This event attracts exhibitors and sponsors from around the world, particularly from the US and China, so you are urged to sign up early.

This is a great event for UK companies to show the world, and our own government, our world-class capability in sensing and measurement at a time when Brexit will require us to work on new international contacts and trade deals.

The event will be held at the excellent Belfast Waterfront Conference Centre and, with the help of our partners, Belfast City Council, we have secured some of the best social facilities and hotel rooms in the city. For example, the conference dinner will be held in the nearby reconstruction of the Titanic Ballroom (voted the world’s best visitor attraction 2017).
