Lab Tech Suppliers' Conference 2022

21 March 2022 – 22 August 2021, Stapleford Park

Your annual conference in March 2022 will be an in-person, face-to-face event where you can meet your friends and your customers over dinner and at a genuinely informative and useful conference.

Innovate, grow and get to know your customers

While 2021 has been the year of supply problems, it's clear that the next few years are going to require substantial change by UK companies to meet changing customer demands if they are to keep ahead of the game.

Finding ways to meet customers' sustainability aspirations is no longer a question which can be put off, so this conference will provide detailed information on what key customer groups want, so that you can find ways to meet them. Similarly, all lab users are focusing on improving throughput and cutting costs but what does this mean in practice for lab suppliers, again, we will have key pharmaceuticals customers present to explain.

New services are being developed for laboratories which may impact on your business. We will have the MD of Accenture's new lab business who will provide insights as to what they are offering and why.

Also, one of the UK’s foremost commentators on Brexit and the future of the EU, Anand Menon, is to make the keynote presentation.

Director of ‘UK in a Changing Europe’, a think-tank dedicated to high-quality, impartial research into the impact of EU policies, attitudes towards the EU, and the evolving relationship between the EU and Britain, Anand makes the case that Brexit is the result of long-term trends that have been in motion for decades. To fully grasp the implications of Brexit for Britain and Europe, he argues, it is crucial to place it in this wider context. He will provide a deep dive into the trade impacts of Brexit and how this might impact on future UK politics.

Anand is Professor of European Politics and Foreign Affairs at King’s College London.

Other speakers at the conference will include:

  • Mark Fish: on Accenture’s new Scientific Informatics Services Business
  • Dr Nick Wright: of the Digital Catapult on innovation for your business
  • Stuart Wanfor: of Astra Zeneca on what your clients want
  • David Shukis: of Pfizer on what your clients need
  • Martin Farley: of University College London on what university buyers are looking for on sustainability
  • Helen Dent: of BIVDA on the upcoming NHS sustainability procurement requirements
  • Frances Hacque: of Santander on the economic outlook
  • John Arnold: of Universal Northern on the UK’s political outlook

The conference will be held at the sumptuous Stapleford Park Hotel near Melton Mowbray. There will be a gala dinner on Monday 21 March where former England cricketer, Matthew Hoggard, will be our after-dinner speaker. Please save the date in your diary now.
