L@B Brief -October 2023

Hello again,

Over the last five years or so, it has been a real slog to get the government to address the needs of business. But as an election draws ever closer, so hope of getting more active engagement from the next government, whoever they might be, is growing.

To target GAMBICA’s future lobbying on the things that matter most to you, we will be holding a workshop on 7th November at which senior members will debate what opportunities there are to improve the environment for UK businesses, and which would be easiest for an inevitably cash-strapped incoming government to put into effect.

GAMBICA has also engaged the help of an experienced lobbyist to give us the best possible chance of getting legislators’ attention and interest.

Our aim to give politicians a better handle on the needs of the laboratory and life sciences industries and to get them to make the changes which will really make your life easier, so do let us know your views.

There are a couple of places still available to take part in the workshop. If you are unable to attend please do email me with your views on what the priorities should be.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Toodle pip!

Jacqueline
