The GAMBICA Young Council (GYC), founded in 2022, continues to bring fresh insight to industry matters from sustainability and education to personal career development, diversity and inclusion. As a team they have created working groups in which they meet to plan how they can influence our industry on behalf of those still “young” within their careers.

With the group being a newer council for GAMBICA, the terms of reference are subject to be modified and reviewed constantly by its existing members. Recently it was discovered that changes in job roles and other priorities have meant that the GYC called for an expansion in their existing 16 members to now include 18. This means more opportunities for different member businesses to get involved.

The four new members of the GYC are Patrick Dion-Fehily, Digitalisation Specialist at Mitsubishi Electric, Scott Ratcliffe, Switchgear Applications Engineer at Powell, Amy Winson, Acting Head of Marketing for Atom Scientific Limited and Adam Bakewell, Business Development Manager for Energy at Weidmüller.

We are confident that these new additions will fit seamlessly into the council and be able to immediately add value to what is already a brilliant team. We have many plans for the coming year including meetings, events and STEM activities which will help spread the voice of the council.

For those member companies who have candidates they feel would fit into the group, apply for the Young Council Consultancy group. This group assists the working groups and provides a fast-tracked route through to the GYC
